Day Eight

Day Eight

On day eight… we didn’t drive! We explored Yellowstone! We saw old faithful erupt, we saw the Grand Prismatic, waterfalls, bison, and more elk. We saw a geyser erupt that can erupt every four days, to every 50 years! That was so cool! After we did that, we picked up my grandmother, and went to see the mud pots. Those were also super cool. They melt the rock, and turn it into bubbling mud. We also saw some hot springs. After we did all that, we decided it was time to make camp for the night.

A complete list of the animals we saw is: elk, ravens, bison, ducks, geese, and a random human being. We saw about 50 bison. That was amazing. The hot springs were really cool. They were almost cyan colored. The colors are like that because of the bacteria living in the water, and the surrounding area. These bacteria are called thermophiles, which means they love heat!
